Autumn Reflections
A classic view of a magical place. Mount Pelmo is reflected in the small Baste lake in Mondeval (Dolomites). In this photographic print the composition plays with the reflection that is created in the still water of a small body of water. The reflective surface gives symmetry to the scene, amplifying the beauty of the landscape, the blades of grass in the foreground add a natural and delicate element, contrasting with the solidity of the mountain that dominates the horizon.

GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites. In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to the remote Svalbard. My namesake grandfather was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina, but it was my passion for the mountains that drew me to photography. Since 2006, I have worked as a professional photographer, using photography to narrate the unique beauty of these mountains.
