In the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, mountains follow one another like waves of a stormy sea. Rock strata trace the profiles of the peaks, creating a sense of movement and forms of light that seem about to break. A photograph where the rock structure and depth transform the Dolomite landscape into an almost abstract composition. GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites. In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to the remote Svalbard. My namesake grandfather was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina, but it was my passion for the mountains that drew me to photography. Since 2006, I have worked as a professional photographer, using photography to narrate the unique beauty of these mountains.
