Enigmatic Sphinxes
The last rays of the sun spread over the Croda Rossa, the soft light, filtered by a dramatic and threatening sky, envelops the Tre Cime di Lavaredo that take on an almost mythological aura, silent and impenetrable figures, similar to eternal guardians of the landscape. The view from Monte Paterno towards the Tre Cime is always something exceptional and the variable weather conditions often provide spectacular scenery and an intense atmosphere. This panoramic photograph was created by combining 7 vertical shots to obtain an image rich in details that can also be appreciated in large prints.

GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites. In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to the remote Svalbard. My namesake grandfather was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina, but it was my passion for the mountains that drew me to photography. Since 2006, I have worked as a professional photographer, using photography to narrate the unique beauty of these mountains.
