The tower
Gruppo di Fanis, Dolomites. This photograph, characterized by dramatic tones, uses a tight composition to enhance the sculpted shapes and volumes, defined by the play of light and shadow. GIUSEPPE GHEDINA PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born in 1972 and live in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites. In addition to these wonderful mountains, I have explored and photographed other extraordinary peaks around the world, from Nepal to Pakistan, from Patagonia to the remote Svalbard. My namesake grandfather was one of the pioneers of photography in Cortina, but it was my passion for the mountains that drew me to photography. Since 2006, I have worked as a professional photographer, using photography to narrate the unique beauty of these mountains.
